This
room is dedicated to Bessie (last name unknown), a “Lady
of the Evening”, who is believed to have worked this
room from 1886 to 1892. Bessie was a hearty, salt-of-the -earth
woman who could hold her own with people of every degree from
the roughest to the most refined, and her friendly good humor
made her well liked by all. |
