This
room is dedicated to Annie (last name unknown), a “Lady
of the Evening”, who is believed to have worked this
room from 1885 to 1889. Annie was said to be a calm, deliberate
and steady woman, She indulged herself in drinking hot, strong
coffee through lumps of sugar held firmly between her teeth.
Annie wore bright re underwear, evident on many a morning
when she would rise up in her bed trying to shake a hangover
from the previous night and shout, “Bring me some coffee”,
and someone, always did. |
